I just got off the water, my local dealer had a 211 that's going to be used in the Nor Cal Boat show, we took it out for a Demo with some other people.

One guy Ski'd behind it I wasn't there to see, But he said he owns a Ski Nautique, He said the wake behind a 211 is Ok and ski-able so I guess that’s a good thing, He said he had never ski'd behind a V-drive so he couldn’t compare it to anything. The Adjustable plate on the back was weird I didnt expect to see what I did, And the amout it move's (very little would suprise you, that it actually does anything. But it does! When you lower it when the boats on Plane it drops the bow quite abit and flattens the wake out. Its a handle that looks like a 2nd throttle just abouve the stock throttle. Just move it forward or back for ski or wakeboard. The hull has lot's of trick's and a step to it.

My self and 3 other people wake boarded behind it, It has a nice clean wake, The wake seam’s like the size and shape of my Air when its fully weighted with stock Ballast and a Extra 500 Lb fat sack in the trunk,

I drove It , It seemed very nice and easy to drive, Handles like a 210 only a little better, I say that because it sits higher in the water and keeping things dry inside seam’s allot easier because of the added high profile

There was Lots of storage we had 2 Large wakeboards under the passenger seat and all our dry suits ropes and extra towels,
The rear Locker with the walk threw transom has a small locker you could fit a small board and gear back there.

The walk there was kind of nice! I stood there and helped people out of the water ya know rolled up the rope and grabbed their boards as they came in. I liked it because you don’t feel like your stepping on some ones Vinyl and messing things up (I has shoes on) It was cold out, But because it not squishy Vinyl and padding you feel more comfortable standing. and I felt out of the way standing there, the rider could use the sun pad all to them self's

The rear swim platform was nice and large, with a little step in the rear of the boat Molded into the transom for your *** to as you put the board. It had traction pads in the steps back there also. The Stainless steel handles that look stupid in the back of the boat I didn't get to try out, I’m so use to just hopping up on to the swim platform like everyone else.

Over all the boat seemed cool. I think people will like it.
I think if your in the market for a Super, This is not your boat, the 211 seems more like a cross over ski/wakeboard boat that the AIR is.
It seems to Family boat to get me excited with the High Profile ECT.
But if your looking for a SUV type of boat with Nautique on it then this is your's.

Thanks for the GREAT review, Grant. I hope you don't mind if I copy it and put it on the main page in the reviews section.

Grant,
How did you like all of the little bells and whistles in there? The trash recepticle area and the removable back seat, etc. I thought it was pretty cool to see all of the little details they put in the boat.

I didn't think it was much of a review, So dont put it on the front page please, If I was going to review It I would have fully gone threw it. and done it correctly. I never thought I was going to say anythig about it here so I didnt realy review it It was just somthing's I noticed about it.

Yes I saw the trash thing behind the drivers seat I guess its a good start. I produce way more trash/ glass beer bottles on my outings that that little area could houze so it was worthless to me. It's like you could have held a sweater and some sunglasse's, sandles there and you were done. I bring a cooler out with me and If you were to bring a cooler on this thing
I dont know how well it would work? It might seemd cramped on the floor.

The Removable back set, Yes I saw that ! IMO it looked kind of cheep and uncomfortable. However I never sat there. so It might be ok, I know it wasent very tall It looked like you sat High in the boat from that seat and there wasnt much back support. But I guess it needs to be small and scarcley padded to fold and put away somewhere. I drove it I sat in the Passenger seat and in the seat behind the driver.

Another thing CC has upgraded the carpet in the 211 I wish my Air had as nice as carpet as the 211, Even thought its a snap in carpet it covers well and dosent look like you expect.

That's cool. This is why I ask before I act. It is good to hear from someone with some first-hand experience with the boat.

Jeff Thanks,

P.S How can I get a side shot like you have for your signature for myself? I know the side shot is a color scheme of your SAN I would like one for my Air.

Thank's

Grant

Grant your decription is very nice. You shouldn't hold back your review. You have a very good objective stance on the boat and certainly have been around them long enough. People listen to your opions. The "Hydro Gate" actully lifts the stern of the boat out of the water giving the illusion that the bow is lower. The quarter inch that the aluminum plate travels is creating a pocket of pressure along with the shape of the tunnel on the keel back there that creates lift when in the down position.

I took a side shot of my boat, edited the picture to get the image that I wanted for my sig, and uploaded that picture to the server. Then all you have to do is edit your sig, linking to the picture as you would for any picture.

Here's what my sig code looks like:

Jeff, WOW now your talking Chinese! With all your code ect, If i was Moprius from the Matrix mabey I could understand Hahah!

Fixer-o-stuff. I think people will like the 211, Its a cool boat, It was anoying to see all the people on W/W trashing it before they even got in it. I had gone out in the 226 and I liked that boat, and The 211 IMO seem to be a Smaller version of the 226, (thats a goood thing)

Grant,

I would need you to send me a picture that you'd want to use. Try to use one that is as clear as possible, and also as high resoultion as possible. The higher the resolution, the better it will look when the image is resized to fit into the sig. Send me a few pictures that you like, and I'll see what I can do. Send them to jeff@planetnautique.com
