Our secret spot is Torch Lake Michigan where we spend two weeks every summer. The water is crystal clear. The only downside is that it never really warms up b/c of an avg depth of over 200ft.

For us, it's Minocqua WI. A slalom course on the chain of lakes sure helps. Very clear water and just enough commercialism to have fun with.

Three guys, a bull dozer, a backhoe, a little dump truck, six years of part time earth work and we turned a farm valley into a ski lake. It’s still a work in process but we’ve been skiing on it for three years now.

Our lake front getaway, and a pic that shows a long straight section of the lake from our dock. It's about 3/4 of a mile from our dock to the end of this run, but the lake is huge and goes off to the left about half way down. Average depth is 16ft. Three certified springs feed it and the water is crystal clear. Regards to All!!

I have trouble linking to another site also. If you have a pic on another site just save it to your comp if its not there already and attach it.

Dude, don't take this the wrong way but....I've read a thousand of your posts and keep wondering one thing...I know your a young guy still in High School... I know it's winter in Conn.....but geeze...step away from the monitor and go hook up with a hot cheerleader or a nerdy girl with big hooters.....life is passing you bye, trust me when you get older and get a corporate gig you'll have plenty of time to waste online....look at the rest of the members on this sight Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

Thanks... but I'll keep with the education so when Im your age I can tell the difference from when I see a great sight, and go online to look at sites... Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

This site knows way too much about me......

P.S. This intensive time spent "behind the monitor" this week is to make time to spend a weekend at Mt. Snow, which for you non-eastcoasters, is a nice sized fun mountain for pure fun snowboarding and skiing... ;-) just to explain how the thing I will never let is time just pass by--why do you think I'm so interested in this stuff??? 8-)

FYI young 'diga.... I was a ski instructor in Jackson Hole, WY for seven years from '96 -'03....during that time I frequently rode with Brian Iguchi, Jeremy Jones, and a guy a little older than you named Travis Rice.....maybe you've heard of them.

Iguchi actually turned me on to wake boarding on Jackson Lake in the heart of Grand Teton National Park.

AbunDiga909

Oh, I wasn't saying the thing about the skiing in the "I ski so I'm better than you" tone. It was just the "I'm going skiing this weekend to get away from the comp. and not let time pass by" idea w/ the "it's all good" attitude... I don't doubt you were a ski instructor. There always seems to be a lot of watersport enthusiasts be the same people as the ones who attack the mountain...

Hate to say also the name Travis Rice doesn't ring a bell... I've always wanted to try snowboarding, but am still the classic old-school skier...

We are all addicts here, so there is no need to hammer on 'Diga, flexing your "ski instructor muscles" as the guru of T&A. Diga adds a lot to the site and never rips anyone. He seems to know alot about boats and surely learns alot being on the site. A young man could be doing alot worst stuff, in alot worst places - on line or off. As far as women go, if he sticks with Nautiques and information systems - he will have his choice.

Look at NautiqueJeff, he's got it all!! Just funnin'!!

'Diga, you are alright in my book. Glad to have ya!

Relax 'AirNautique211'....I was never attacking anyone.....just wondering outloud...he replied with his point of view, and I shared something that we both have in common (snow sports) and how that lead me to wakeboarding...I was certainly never trying to be a guru of 'T&A' ....just slightly concerned that the young 'diga might be missing out on the finer points of being a teenage male spending so much time online.... but thanks for jumping in....I'm sure his mom would appreciate it.

HAHA... Chip Reihl--what a weird guy... that name brings along a lot of strange quotes, moments, and numbers, lol.. :???:

I didn't know you were that close w/ him, I thought he was just a customer w/ a custom gelcoat on a sick boat... Is his surfing skills up to par w/ his hydrofoiling? Ask him to attempt a double-front for you next time you see him--that's something you don't see everyday..

Nice picture Eric! That was a few years ago at our place. CJ with Tina Bessinger. Josh and Davis on the dock with Danette. We replaced the dock this fall. We just need to put a few finishing touches onto it, like cleats, bumpers, etc. Check it out when you get a chance.
