A sweet leftover 2003 promo boat is available from a local dealer. The boat has less than 10 hours and includes an Eagle trailer with aluminum wheels and swingaway tongue. Anyone interested ????

Just curious--how much? It looks like a Limited--does it have PP and ballast? How could a Promo boat only have 10 hours?
Thanks.

Looks like a dealer that is trying to offload it?

The boat is a limited edition with the rear ballasts included. I do not think that perfect pass was installed on it. The asking price I believe was $36,000 back in October when I test drove it so it may be lower now. My wife and I ended up buying a ski nautique 206 limited that the same dealer had in his showroom since it was delivered to him. We had a brushed alumnum FCT added to it and will pick it up in April....
That is a smoking deal.--especially with FCT, I'm still kicking around the idea of installing a tower on my 206. Not sure if I'm going to buy a Monster tower or a FCT. I would love to stay with CC stuff, but the Monster tower is very light and costs about half. The Monster also folds down neatly below my cover.
What to do?

Eggie,
Why did'nt you buy this red 206 from Chessie? I have inquired about the boat but they said it was not a promo? Thanks Jim

Jim,
They had two 206's; a red air and a silver cloud 206 limited. We went with the silver cloud 206 mainly because of better rear locker storage and more conservative colors. The red is very sharp looking though and we would have bought it if that was our only choice. Regarding the 'promo' maybe I'm using the wrong term. They told me it was the boat they bought to take to all the shows and therefore they get a better deal with CC.... Jeff

Jeff, I understand - so you went for a more conservative look and storage by not going with ballast tanks and keeping the original depth of the lockers. They apparently have only come off the October price by another $500 and I am sure they are close to cost or perhaps just below it since they have used the boat a bit for demo's. I am sold on a CC for our next "play" boat and it is just a matter of model and the best deal we can locate (we run a boat on the Ches. Bay called an "Eastbay" which works as our long cruiser and second home so I am looking for somethin solid, safe, and fun) I have also given some thought for a 216 air or even the 211 since it appears to be a good "crossover" boat and each would ride better in chop if we are out on a non-flat day. We are likely to use it in various rivers and creeks off the bay and there will be times when getting there may have some chop - did you get a chance to test ride several models ??

Jim,
We live at a private lake in PA where we are restricted to 21 foot or less. So I only drove the 206 but we looked at the Malibu Response LXI, Centurion's closet model, Moomba, Supra, and Tige. By far the 206 was the best and most solid drive and the quality was well above the others. We went to Chessie only to compare because he sells Centurion, Malibu, and Nautique but once we drove the Nautique it was over.

Jeff,
It sounds like you made a great choice. Iam heading up to Chessie on Wednesday and take a ride on the air 206 and a 211. We shall see...

Jim,
Did you take a ride on the air 206 and a 211
I didn't see (on chessie's website) where they had a 211.
How did it compare with the 206? Did you look at the 216?
There's a blue 04 Air 216 Limited that I've been looking at. Alittle too much $$$ for me.
Did you look at the Malibu Response LXI or Sunsetter LXI.
Just wondering, I'm in the market and working with Chessie's.
Where in NorVa are you? Where are you going to ski, etc?
I'm in Loudoun Co.

Rode on both. What can I say but they are typical Nautiques. Both built well (I have run my bosses 196 which is why I am looking at the nautiques). The 211 runs better than I thought - I am looking at a lot of big water runs off the West River near Galesville, MD - ches. bay so the ride quality in occassional rough water is important and I have a 4 and 5 year old boys - the 206 handles awesome but is going to be more appropriate for lake use. Where is the 216 I did want to check one out and ride?? I am in Reston. Jim

Just took my boat in last Saturday and couldn't believe it but it's still there. Owner told me he sold it twice but one guy couldn't get financing and other guy's wife freaked when she saw the color.

I think those colors look great. I can't believe anyone would freak about those colors. This is a sharp boat.

The boat is at Chessie Marine (http://www.chessiemarine.com/).

My first reaction was WOW that's really red but after seeing it in the water and driving in it I would have bought it in a heartbeat....

I just noticed that this boat has a red topside deck. I didn't think that was an option in 2003. It does have quite a bit of red, but I still like it, especially with the black and white.

Can anyone tell me for sure it this boat is still available? Also, does the dealer have a web site or can someone pass me the phone number?

Dealers website is very bad - www.chessiemarine.com. Phone is 410-620-boat. I would guess that the boat is still available.
