Question for everyone! How easy or difficult would it be to put an Eaton 112 supercharger on a 310 EFI Ford 310HP PCM motor? I see that many of the newer ford trucks such as the lightnings and SVTs have eaton superchargers on them from the factory. You can get the units from ebay or junkyards for $200-$400. I spoke with a local performance shop and they say that you will get about 80 ft lbs of torque a quite a bit more horsepower too. Thanks for your input!

Have you seen the picture in skinautique's Personal Gallery? Not a ford, but certainly supercharged.
I got a look at this boat this past May. It is quite a machine, and it really flew across the water!

do the lightnings have a supercharger or a blower? a supercharger might be tough to fit under the clamshell. i think a paxton is 2500-3000 for a new one.

are there any 'chips' that could improve torque and hp for open loop efi in boat motors?

Hey Tryan a supercharger and a blower is the same thing. Maybe you are speaking of the difference of a centrifical vs screw? or maybe a turbo?

i have just seen the paxton kits ( which i call a supercharger ) and the roots type ( as pictured called a blower. ) what do the lightnin' have. i know mercedes uses a roots type set up intergrated into the intake on the amg kompressor models.

Any trany issues with that mod? I've been told not to upgrade any thing due to the trany being specific to that engine.

lightnings have a screw compressor that is bolted inplace of the intake. Blower and supercharger is basically the same term when you are talking about forced induction. Its usually centrifical "ex: paxton, vortech." or roots type "which is the screw compressors that sit on top of motors.

I am sure you can bolt a roots style supercharger to it. But do the new nautiques have a 5.4 liter modular motor in them? That is what the lightnings have in them. You cant bolt that particular supercharger on a 351W. But you can get one from Ken bell or other manufactures for a 351W but you are talking at least $2000 but probably closer to $3500. either way I dont think its worth the hassel unless you just want it for show
