Hello all!! Some of you may know me from wb.com but for the others who don't then a big hello to you. This is my 1986 Ski Nautique 2001. right now the boat has a Flight Control Tower that had to be slightly modified to fit, Perfect Pass Wakeboard Pro, Mako board racks, Boss B-50 tower speakers, clarion head unit and four clarion speakers. In the future I plan to install a bimini and a much better sound system. Some pics.

Yea I bought it from a Nauti Dealer for a one time price of $1380. It's the real deal. I took it to a great fabricator/welder and he did the work on it. Those plans look pretty good.

How did that transom tow-ring get there? I think only 89s came with that, and it was mounted a little higher up. Either way, very convenient and if I didn't have to pull the gas tank to put one in, I'd seriously consider it.
Oh, and if onthewater would allow it!

Hollywood I don't know it was on there when I bought it. Maybe it was an option or something?

I don't have a transom ring on my '87 either, and I am glad! Why would you want to put a transom tow ring on and interfere with the graphics on the back? The graphics on the back of mine look too cool to partly cover up! :-)
Bigmac, great tower (we chated from CCFan.com earlier this month). I look at the pictures of your tower on a regular basis, and droll!!

It would be nice for pics to hook the tube rope up to so that you could still load the boat down with ppl when you are riding...

I have had a lot of late 80's mastercrafts come through our shop that have loose lifting rings due to towing. I know that we are talking about nautiques, and from what i can tell the tow ring looks more durable, I am still leary of it. We have only re-upholstered one 2001, and it was fine, but we have done a ton of mastercrafts (more popular with older people here) and probably 70% have had loose lifting rings :?

Seven20 They are on right now just not hooked up. I think we will have them hooked up this weekend so I will take some pics.
Hey GN6027!! HAHAHA!! Thanks!! By any chance does GN stand for GrandNational? I love those cars. I have owned 2 so far and will have another one day!!
I'm not sure but I think the lifting rings are made to be able to support vertical weight and not horizontal weight. Does that make sense? Like you can suspend the boat from it but you shouldn't tow from it.

On the 89s, the transom ring doesn't intefere with the graphics. Remember the stripe doesn't get fat around the back, and the ring is located at the top of the stripe anyways. It's hard to see in this picture, but I don't have anything better on this computer.

Bigmac- VERY pretty boat man. Nice work. The gel looks fab. One of the nicest 2001's I've ever seen.

mccarte The center bar was removed from the top of the tower. The around 4 inches were taken out of the tower. The tower was then welded back together and the center bar was welded back in. The front leg mounts fit flush with the boat but the rear legs had to be reangled just slightly. Here are some pics to give you an idea.
M3Fan Thanks man Ii really enjoy it!

Yeah, that weld looks like a pushed-over roll of nickels, exactly how it should. For you 86 SN guys I posted a 86 brochure in the reference section of correctcraftfan.com. Check it out!

Wow Old looking but I like it.. The tower really makes it look good, especially when it is chrome....

It's not chrome. Shiny "silvery" metal doesn't mean chrome. Chrome is chrome.
