Well I picked up the 2000 SAN this saturday. Very nice. It does need some TLC though. I think she will be a good baby to me. I dont think the previous owner too very good care of her. She was neglected. But not anymore. She is going to be spoiled! I already took her shopping and got her some new shoes. "shorelandr tandum with surge breaks" I think she needs another sub and two more tower speakers..and she will be happy for a long time!

Thanks guys. Well I took her out last weekend. As you know the creek is extremely low. Well I was going to try to go out to clear lake. yea right. Too low. I dont guess I know the correct path of the creek. Well I almost got stuck. So I turned around and put her up. The little girl really liked the trip though. I couldnt figure out how to get the balast tanks to fill? there is a manual valve near the engine.. So I opened it . Then I opened the valves behind the drivers seat. Then turned on the pumps. I guess I need to read up on it.

I know my way at that point. I was at the beginning of the creek entering Clear lake. Across the hilton. But I am always down for a lesson on the path of the creek. I like to know for sure. I will hit you up on that one soon

When you use the ballast, make sure the valves are open in the rear engine hatch. Then what I do (because I can never remember it) is open one valve one way and do the opposite for the other and then hit the button on the dash. Figure out which one is filling by watching the guage and then move the other dial so it is flowing. When you want to empty them, close the dials and hit the empty switch. Yours empties out of the bottom of the boat so you will just have to watch the guages to see when they are empty. Hope this helps!!

you said valves on the hatch? I think I only have one valve? but I know what you mean about the valves behind the seat. Thanks I will try that out sometime...

There is either one or two valves in the back under the hatch. I can't remember right now. Good luck!!

Your new ride looks sweet. I'll have to keep an eye out for you on the creek in '04. I don't have a picture of my boat on this site yet, but I just got a new digital camera, so some should be coming soon. But until that time, I'm in an '82 2001 sn that is cream colored with a maroon/red stripe down the side.
And just as 882001 offered, I too could show you how to get up into the creek if you needed some assistance. I shot up some sand the first time I came up the creek and it concerned me until a buddy showed me the exact path to take.

Thanks Gtime.
I took her out last sunday. It was super nice out. Too bad the water was super rough too*L* It was fun. My little girl enjoyed it alot. The speedo doesnt seem to work. But I will be replacing that soon. Just a few little things that need to be fixed nothing too expensive thank goodness. I will keep an eye out for you guys. We should all hook up someday and ride together. I will show you have to faceplant correctly! Its my specialty

I've got the sister boat to yours, 75th anniversary edition.
On the tanks, you need to open the single valve in the engine compartment (against the carpeted wall behind the back seat), and open (counterclockwise) the air vents behind the driver's seat. The tanks will fill on their own if you are running on a plane, or you can turn on the intake pump (this is the one on the dash with the arrow in the tank pointing up). Either way, they will slowly fill. Once they are full, close the valve in the engine compartment and the valves behind the driver's seat and turn off the pump if you used it. Enjoy the wake, because it is sweeeet.
To drain, just open the valve in the engine compartment, open the valves behind the driver, and turn on the outlet pump. I do this in the 5 zone getting back to the ramp. I also leave the valve open for the drive home and in the garage.
Congrats and enjoy the boat.
