What is "play now, pay later." I could guess but I hate to do that.

What good is this offer?

Who has any new '03 SAN Team's available? If they do, please PM with details.

If I ordered a new 04 SAN with a $1,000 deposit today, the lead time puts me into March anyway.

Have I missed something? Kind of like offering me two nickles for my dime.

I apologize that I forgot to say that it only applies to in stock boats but not on boats that you custom order. It is a way for dealers to clear out their inventory and allow them to order more boats from the factory to replenish stock.

Forgive my ignorance, but I am still confussed.

Could not find many new '03's and the 04 dealer spec boats are the same price as my quasi custom ordered boat. Am I missing something?

That being the case, why not ask the dealer about the lead times on the boat you want, put up the $1,000 and wait for the boat to arrive at the beginning of the season.

Meanwhile, enjoy a little extra room in the garage until the new one arrives in the spring.

If you live in the warmer climates, you can get a new boat now and start using it over the winter months and not pay for it. Where are you from lcap?

I am truly blessed, I have the best of all worlds by living in the Northwest.

Too old for the 80 F rule; if the water + air temp = 80 F we were water. Season was March-Nov.

Now I trade the water sports for snow sports from Nov-April.

Not too old to snow and water ski in the same day though.

I'd purchase my new boat now if it made economic cents, rather than wait.

Otherwise I'll daydream about the new boat while on the slopes.

As per the CC website:

Good only on new, unregistered, untitled non-current Correct Craft boats (2003 model year and older).

I'm in the process of purchacing a 03' SAN limited and applied for the play now pay later offer. My main purpose is to defer the payment till the spring, as I will not use the boat this winter. What they dont tell you is that you must have perfect credit to get the defered payment. They will offer you credit, albeit not competitive. The bottom line, there are better rates available and I feel Correct Craft has made a poor and deceptive association with Ganis Credit. I have excellent credit and was qouted better rates from other lending institutions. The Good thing is the dealer has been great to work with and help me accomplish my goals. He's earned a faithful customer.

Based on your location, I assume the dealer you're referring to is White Lake. Is that correct?

No, North Point Marine, Mooresville,NC. I just received a call from the dealer and it appears that Ganis called to follow up. The dealer informed them that I was not excepting their offer and he was embarressed. They called him back to say they would do the defered offer. Their rates are still not competitve but it will serve both the dealer and I for the few upcoming months. The dealer did comment that it was highly unusual for them to call and follow up on this. Maybe the boat loan business is slow right now.

auian,
Did that deal work out or was it a joke?

Yes, I took the deal but I'm going to shop around for better interest rate. They are offering 6%(5.99) but I think there are some better rate out there now. I'm sure rates will start to creep back up in the near future as the economy improves.

So, all ends well. I look forward to the spring to get the boat out. It's still at the dealer awaiting some additional upgrades. It does not make much sense to take it out now and have to re-winterize. My kids did get to take out their SAN 210 R/C boats New Years Day. They enjoyed and they got the color boat they wanted. Dad chose the white and black 210 over the orange that was available. I just felt five years from now I would be looking at the orange boat and asking myself what I was thinking

Thanks for asking
