My ski club hosted an INT event this weekend - wakeboard on Saturday, slalom on Sunday. I didn't ski today but was there to volunteer and assist as needed.

I was completely blown away to see the skiers being pulled by a 1995 or 1996 Ski Nautique as a 2003 206 demo floated in the water, tied up to an anchor bouy. I can't understand why they wouldn't either get the 206 out there pulling or have their promo driver bring his 2003 196 to the event. Seems like a great selling opportunity missed in my eyes. Heck, the 206 wasn't even close enough to see inside.

That would be a surprise to me also. I can also say that most skiers would rather have skied behind it. Could it have had a mech. problem?

I watched them drop the 206 in the water, ride around for a bit and tie it up. Come to think of it, they've used that same older Nautique for the past 3 years I was at the tournament.

I wonder if the dealer doesn't view the INT as a selling opportunity? I personally haven't skied in the event as it's pretty pricey. Join the AWSA for $40, join the INT for $30, then pay $30 to ski in the event (all estimated prices). I have my own boat and can ski for a long time on $100 in gas.

Which INT are you talking about Edwin? I pulled the MO INT in Columbia and we had my '03 SAN pulling wakeboarding and an '03 196 pulling slalom all day!. Was this an Illinois event? This was yesterday.

BTW, I tried the 68" in the 206. No luck though, so close, yet so far. Extreme is getting me pictures of it. They didn't have a 216.

I was at the INT in Greenville, IL. Didn't attend on Saturday, Sunday was slalom. I didn't realize MO and IL had events on the same weekend...guess that's why the slalom turnout was so light.

Thanks for the info on the 68" ski / locker issue.

I was pulling slalom at the MO INT in Columbia, sorry. There were two INT's scheduled on the same day due to the date being moved in Illinois to accomodate some other Wakeboard event. I had already committed to the MO date, since the event was originally to be held at my lake. Due to low water at my lake the event had to be moved to Columbia. Not sure why the 206 wasn't used, I thought that was the plan.

Edwin - I was at your tournament last year with my '02, actually pulled 13 tournaments last year, trying to cut down this year, only 11, but I would have been there this year if it wasn't for the conflict.

Dave - I think last year I went to the wakeboard day of the event. You promo guys deserve a medal for pulling the events. I realize you get a bit of a break on the boat, but your donation of time more than make up for it.

Hats off to ya...

did you sell your 02 yet? I have had alot of calls on mine and they are telling me that the 02 market is drying up fast. I could send a few of these callers at you if you still have it.

I hydrofoiled behind a 206 during practice day at Ceder Lake in Sturbridge for the New England INT. I think all INT's should host hydrofoilig. It's somewhat inconvienent to get to and since the sport is growing, more competitions should host it. It will help spread the word about it. I had one of my best runs hydrofoiling behind the 206 and being based of a competition ski boat, i was very impressed.
