Wired remote for xmd3

Will the wired remote for Clarion 5475 (2000 Air Nautique) work on a Clarion XMD3 head unit? I really only want the remote to control mute and volume controls. Any help?

Yes it should work fine, that remote even works with my CMD4 all exect the mute. The olny one that won't work is the CMRC-1SB(from what i've been told).
