Ski, wakeboard and ice permitting barefoot. Hosted by Rockford Marina (Nautique dealer and really nice people) at their site on the Rock River in downtown Rockford, Illinois. Min donation of $25 to ski benefits the American Cancer Society. Last year they had a hot tub, and D.J. It was a great time that breaks up our extensieve down season.I think you have to be a member of US Waterski or have to purchase the insurance for the day to ski. If you have any questions post them here I will try to keep track of them or call Megan @
Rockford Marina (815)965-2223 See you all there. Drysuits are avail. for use. If nothing else come out to see their huge proshop and watch the Crazies. -Pat[/img]

any guess as to how much insurance would be? I"ll probably be there, not sure if I'll ski or not.

I think insurance is $10 for the day and $25 for a year. If you come out bring your gear, you will be inspired to get in. Last year I did 2 one was 40 degrees the other 10. but with the right gear (there will be a lot floating around) even the 10 degree day was no big deal.

Hate to be a nay sayer, but I don't think you can buy USA Water Ski Insurance for just one day. It will probably be $25 no matter what. And guess what...It expires at the end of the year (last day of December).

That is the saturday before my finals week, if I don't go onthewater can use my insurance card.

Unless it has changed, you could get insurance for the day last year, and also at Mission to Ride. I just can't remember how muck it was. Check out Rockford Marina's website- www.rockfordmarina.com

pj, thanks for that link.

A lot of potential club skiers here at Purdue are turned away because of the $25 USA Water Ski insurance price tag. I will pass this on to our club president and hopefully we can get more people involved in water skiing next year!

Oh, and promise me those 13 yr. old girls will be there in the hot tub this year too! haha, joking. i'm sick, i know.
