Ok, my post on the 2000 SN gave me an idea for this topic: What are your top 3 graphic eras for the SN? Keep in mind, this does not mean HULL eras, strictly GRAPHICS REDESIGNS. The major eras of SN graphics would probably be these:

61-74 (?)

75-79: Awesome hand-painted "SKI NAUTIQUE" in HUGE letters on the side of the boat, slightly italic with an underline.

80-84: Solid stripe, later split into 3 colors, with "SKI NAUTIQUE" in white inside the stripe.

85-88: Smaller solid stripe, single color, with "SKI NAUTIQUE" in smaller white letters (or hull color letters if gray hull used). The big difference is the huge 2001 graphic, in italic, at the tail end of the boat.

89: A one-year era. The "2001" boat with solid stripe, "SKI NAUTIQUE" in font and graphics exactly like upcoming 1990 model, but old hull still. No 2001 graphic this year. Interestingly, the first year of the single exhaust also.

1990-93: Big stripe down the side of the boat down to waterline, with a secondary stripe at the top of the hull as well. "SKI NAUTIQUE" in same font as 89 model, changing to slightly different lettering in 92-93.

1994-96: Primary stripe at the upper portion of the hull graduates in thickness from front to back, with "SKI NAUTIQUE" written in smaller graphics on the white hull below the stripe.

97-99: Similar to the previous design, but "SKI NAUTIQUE" actually written within the primary stripe rather than below.

2000-01: The huge N on the side of the hull

2002- Present: The N design with graphic in the middle, also secondary stripe added towards the back portion of the boat.

My picks would have to be:

1. 74-79: Love these. Such a cool design.

2. 1990-93: Slightly biased there

3. 2000-01: Don't know why, but I now really like this design

I think the whole lot of 94-99 designs were a tad boring, so would clock in as my least favorite.

I'll vote for the '90-'93 as well. To me, that is what a Ski nautique should look like. I like the 2004 design too. I saw one at Mid-Ohio Nautiques, and I saw another one today at White Lake, and I must say that I am glad to see NAUTIQUE proudly displayed on the side in big letters once again.

Pictures are fixed. Captions are gone though, since they were included in the attachments. If you want to, you can edit the posts above and insert the captions.

Don't I recognise that last boat? Yep, it's my old one.

Jeff,
You are the Man of the message board!! Thanks for getting my picture to show up. I love those colors too. I have a 226 I can post (inside and out) if anyone wants to see it. I was trying to find a picture of the signature edition to show everyone but I am not having any luck. Also, if anyone wants to see more pictures of older boats, www.newenglandcorrectcraft.com has a lot of their customer's photos posted there.

New England CC is a great source. I was looking through there again today. In fear of screwing up the pics I posted, I'll list them here. Also, here is a 96 signature edition and an 04.
