I'm coming down to Palm Beach for those dates and going up to Orlando for a day or so--probably Wednesday. If anybody would like to take us on the water, we'd be happy to pay for a tank of gas and what not.
By the way, anybody know of a good place I can get some good slalom lessons behind a new 196? I think skinautique recommended one to me a while ago, but I forgot it. I think it was like "Jimmy's" something...
Alright, thanks in advance...

McGinnis Ski School is what I suggested. It is somewhere south of W. Palm. Not sure how far though. There are more places in Orlando. You can go to OWC. They have CC's there for skiing and wakeboarding.

"Jimmy's" / "McGinnis" -- same thing... Yellow_Flash_Colorz:
Thanks ski, we'll try to look into and find those places...
We are going to Orlando for a day originally just to see the factory, but were pretty dissapointed to find out that they're still not doing the tours.

No more tours until the new factory. You couldn't walk around in there if you wanted to. They are so busy in there.

Our dealer just recommended OWC by coincidence, so it looks like we'll try to go there.

Yeah, OWC (http://www.orlandowatersports.com/index.php) should be pretty cool. I have always wanted to check that place out.

Thanks for the link, I've been looking around that site a lot. Kinda ironic I think that the PWT is held there b/c its pulled by MC, but OWC uses CC.
Anyway, can anybody tell me how this cable thing works? It just looks like a big crane that pulls a bunch of boarders at once with a pully or something like that...
I just got back, and they have a super and a 196 for rent. $35 per half hour, or $45 with an instructor. The cable is cool, but it is a totally different pull. The cable is always trying to pull your arms up and away...think of doing triceps push-downs and rows at the same time. The smaller cable, which has all the obstacles holds 6 riders. Weekends are crowded so buy a lot of time. $21 for an hour and there are 2-3 hour rates as well as the all day rate for $39. Plan also to rent a board and bindings and possible helmet...as those are required to go on the slider side.
Have fun, it is a ball and the people for the most part are really cool. Jen in the office is really cute!
