View Full Version : Jpeg images
Just got myself a new dell dimension 5000 pc running XP, I can no longer see any of the picture images that are in jpeg, suspect a setting is screwed somewhere on my PC but can't work out where?
Any ideas, it is affecting my enjoyment of the site.

you can't see them when browsing? that's a new one to me. ie sucks anyhow, just download firefox, http://www.mozilla.org , it's a much better browser anyhow. but i will look around to see if i find any info on ie not showing pics.
Odds are it has something to do with your security settings in Internet Explorer.
Go to Tools| Internet Options | Advanced
Scroll down and you should see a "Multimedia" heading, below that make sure "Show Pictures" check box is checked.
If that doesn't work, you might consider adding www.planetnautique.com to your list of trusted websites.
Thanks guys tried all of these and still no pics. The IT guys in work think it is a security setting somewhere in the depths of XP. I have referred the probelm to Dell and am awaiting a reply.
I have a similar problem, I just cannot upload images to the site anymore.l

basc and b2,
Do you guys have any Anti-Spyware software installed in your computers like AdSubtract PRO?
That will do it.

You might want to check your firewall software if you have that also. Add the site your your trusted list.
Tried all of the suggestions, even turned off the firewall, antivirus and anything else that remotely looked like protection, leaving a fully exposed PC, dangerous move I know, but needs must. Still no go.
I am now waiting to hear from Dell's techie dept.
Can you see JPGs on other websites besides PN?

Luke,
Could it be the site?... I was not able to upload the avatar, you guys had to do it for me.

I doubt seriously that it is the site. Your avatar was over the file size limit, so I changed it to a smaller file format. Nobody else seems to be having trouble viewing pictures, so I bet it is on his end. I'll double-check everything here just to be sure.
