View Full Version : Any Nautique folks in the Reno-Tahoe area?
I'm an owner in Reno, Nv just looking to see if there's any others around to talk shop with. I have really nice blue and white 90 Ski Nautique.

Hey, glad to hear from someone nearby sperbert. What boat do you have, what's you're favorite lake?

I have a 95' SS. I ride at Boca usually and sometimes Stampede.

Is Boca going to be open this year? Hopefully these last few storms fill it back up. But I read that the Gov't was going to add some sort of sercuirty type measures on the road? I tend to be on Donner or if I feel like cruising head to Tahoe.

Boca should be open. I havn't heard that it won't. It always gets really low in the winter. I go to Donner occasionally, but it is usually just too choppy and I never go to Tahoe to ride. Every once in a while we'll booze crusie out there but that is about it. I actually havn't been out on a boat on Tahoe in about 3 years and I live about 15 minutes from the lake.

Took my '94 SNOB out on N. Tahoe last Sunday. Not very crowded but the wind came up from the S-SE so we didn't do much but watch the kids kneeboard. Usually it's Stampede for me. Heading up to Bucks Lake over the 4th holiday. Should be crowded but I like the water.

I am in Reno and have a 01 SAN. I usally go to Lahoton early in the season then go up to Boca or Stampede after July 1. I also spend alot of time up at Lake Almanor.

I'm in Sparks, NV with a 1994 SNOB blue and white w/a Fly-Hi and Accuski. We usually ski Lahoutan early season and Stampede as it warms up. I'm driving and swimming this year due to ACL surgery 3 months ago - next year I'll cut it up. I plan to re-join the Boca ski club. Usually I am a slalom type (4@28off, 32mph), falling back to 'boarding when it gets rough.
Anybody out there from the Boca club? or would like to make a Nautique flotilla one weekend day?

uh oh, Boca ski club member. j/k. We use the ski cove sometimes when the lake is rough and there is no one there, but I'm not a member. ssshhhh that's a secret. Yellow_Flash_Colorz: Good luck with the rehab and maybe we can do the Nautique floatzilla sometime next year. I usually only make it out on the weekend in the early morning. We are usually there midweek after 5.

"Nautique floatzilla sometime next year"
Sounds cool - say, we plan to go up to Stampede Sat 9/10/05, be there around 945AM ...
Midweek after 5PM is something I've never tried, seems like it would be blown out then?

Thought you wern't using the boat anymore this year, due to the knee. It's usually pretty good in the evening. Sometimes it is a bit crowded during the peak summer months, but it is usually good. I have to work Saturday morning, I'd watch the weather for the weekend. It is supposed to get REALLY cold this weekend(lows in the 20s on Saturday, they say it might even snow). Should hopefully warm back up next week, but the winter is moving in. Good thing my drysuit is being fixed this week.
