How much are the flight clips that attach to the tower to hold the wakeboards? I've heard as much as $740 for the crome and $350 for the black. Is that right? That price seems crazy! Are there other alternatives besides Nautique specific equipment? It will be going on a flight control tower for a 2001 sport.

I think I paid $617 for mine and they were the polished/brushed ones. I know the black are a lot cheaper. Check with Mid-Ohio Nautiques and tell them you're a PlanetNautique member and they'll give you a 15% discount. :grin:

Thanks Jeff, that just seems expensive to me. I guess if that's what it is, that's what it is though. I'm still interested if anyone has alternative (i.e. nonNautique equipment that fits and looks almost as good) suggestions.

For alternatives check www.wakeside.com for a few different racks. Or www.samsonsports.com they make nice looking ones too. Both places offer racks that fit the FCT specifically. I looked around for a while before just biting the bullet and getting the Flight Clips.

OK, I think I'm going to get the black flight clips. They are a few hundered cheaper. Let me know if anyone has any strong opinions against these

I have the black Flight Clips, and they've been great. Got mine from Mid-Ohio Nautiques (http://www.midohionautiques.com/index2.htm).

$395 for the black from mid-ohio. I just ordered mine yesterday. Not to bad, I think. Most of the aftermarket racks I have seen are just as expensive and I would much rather have the FCC

Don't you have to bolt the black one's on the tower? That would be the only thing that I wouldn't like about the black flight clips. I ended up getting the new silver racks for my '97 Super Sport and I love them. They clamp on the tower so you don't have to drill any holes and they have never slipped. That's what I like about the FCT is that they have the square cross bar so you don't have to worry about the racks ever slipping.

the ones I ordered do bolt in. I bought my tower used and it already had holes for the flight clips so I actually did want the ones that bolt in
