One of my winter projects was to update my sub box/step for my 01 SAN so I have no need for my 'old' one. It was difficult finding a sub to fit in it due to height clearance so I'd include the Kicker CVR10-4 that I built it around. I powered my boat speakers and the sub with a Kicker 700.5 amp and it sounded great!!!!

The box is fiberglassed on all sides but the bottom and carpeted in CC gunmetal gray obtained from my dealer. I'm keeping the cushion for my new box.

A few additional pictures of it are on this thread (http://www.planetnautique.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=1052&star t=0). You won't find a curved step like it anywhere (except my boat). It probably won't fit an 02 or newer as the floor is set lower in those models.

I'd like to set someone up with it relatively close to Columbus, OH as shipping would probably be ridiculous due to it's weight and bulk. Drop me a line if any interest or if you'd like any more pictures of it.

Yes thats a nice box, How did you curve the box, and what are you going to build next?

BTW Eartquake makes some new shallow subs that will work in application like this very well, I havent heard them but the mounting depth for a 10 inc sub is less than 3 inches, check them out

Hey WC, thanks for the complement! The new box we just finished is identical in footprint but has internal space designed to accomodate two Solobaric S10L5's.

Wish I knew about the Earthquakes about a month ago! Any idea how much volume they require? I had to change to the solobarics since they're spec'd to run in smaller enclosures than the CVR10's and the box just didn't have enough space for a 12 or two CVR10's. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the new setup sounds better than the old.

So over the next 2-3 weeks I'm finishing up the sound system project, doing some ballast system mods and I'm doing a wind block, White Chocolate style!

Hey Joe: What does it mean when you put "Bump" in the message like you did above. I have seen you do this on other thread's, Like the reef girl thread on W/W are you trying to bring the topic to the top or is there some other meaning to it?

Actually, I've never done it before but if no one has replied to the message in a few days the thread looks "old" so a "bump" just makes it appear it has had recent activity. Just making sure folks know it's still available.

Woops my bad. It was a guy named John on W/W that I was talking about, That dumb *** made me click on the reef girl thread and download all 583 posts thinking I was gong to see sme new booty, just to see "Bump" at the bottom. LOL

I sent you a PM.

Maybe we can test it out on my '02 with a little help from Mid-Ohio Watersports.

Checked its fit in an 05, which should be similar to an 02 and it doesn't really fit at all. Oh well.

What a great box! I wish it would have fit better, it just did not look right.

Oh well. I'm sure it will find a good home. The box is top notch!!
