barefoot boom lines connect to.... ?

Is it better to connect the barefoot boom cable hook to the tow eye or the deck eye, on a 94 ski nautique. seems like either works, and maybe easier to get to if on the deck. thanks

It is designed to go on the tow eye. That way it doesn't touch the boat when pulling the footer.

I've never seen anyone hook it to the deck eye, for good reason too. The tow eye keeps downward force on the boom on the gunwale.

Years ago when I had my MC Prostar 190 and had a barefoot boom we always hooked it to the tow eye.
