I hate to do it, but the time has come to try to move this great all -around boat. My son has really been progressing with his wake boarding this year & the time has come to move on to a vee drive for him so he can take it to the next level.
This boat is an excellent cross- over boat and is both a very good slalom boat & a very good wake board boat. It is also a good boat to use in a big lake like Lake Martin is. It can handle rough water very well and make a family feel safe & secure when just spending the day on the lake.

-Team Edition
-Red-White-Blue Color scheme
-343 hp Excalibur PCM engine
-Tower with spinner racks and bimini top and tower speakers-
Ballast Tanks
-Zero-off speed control
-Jump seat
-3 speed heater
-Double axle trailer

Boat has around 103 hours but is being used every weekend so hours will change. It is in excellent condition & is garage kept. The boat is cleaned inside & out after each use & oil changed every 50 hours.

The boat is located at Lake Martin,Alabama in Dadeville which is near Auburn. I am there nearly every weekend & ski around 6:30am. So if anyone wants to try her out, come on over.

email me at Shadavis06@aol.com

I can email pictures & will try to post them here.

no way. get a 210 for wakeboarding if that's what your son is doing and one of the reasons you're selling the current

I know, but I still hope for the boat that can ski & wake board better than the 216. I am still pretty hard core slalom & I just do not want to add hundreds of lbs of fat sacs to my boat to turn it into a wakeboard machine. Then, when it is my turn to ski, have to unload fat sacs to go back to being a slalom boat. I have been thinking of buying an older closed bow for me and the 210 for our family boat. I just really do not like the idea of 2 boats,2 insurances,2 etc, etc. I am trying to see what the market is for my current boat & then weigh my options.

We have been looking hard at the Mastercraft X214v and have really liked it.
Of course, I can always trade & the dealer has offered me a pretty good trade, but I have never traded for another boat & do not want to start now.

I have owned Nautiques for 20 plus years and have always had great service from them and it is hard for me to imagine myself in anything else.

I still miss my 1999 Sport Nautique for its slalom wake. I looked at a 200 open bow last week & could not help but drool.

Price drop again. Deal fell thru due to financing. Now asking $45000.00 Boat has around 127 hours.

Great family boat that is excellent condition. Dealer gave it a 9 to 9.5 rating on scale of 10.

Make sure you ski a 214 and 214 v before you sign, I dont think you'd be impressed. I like your idea of the 200 sport nautique....thats probably the way to go.

BTW very nice looking 216, how much difference is there in the 99 sport and 216 wake?

The wake of my 99 Sport I ahd for 9 years, I would rate as a 9 on a scale of 10 and I always called it excellent, especially for a larger boat.

The wake of my 216 I would rate as a 7 to 7.5 at 34.2 mph. When I free ski, I actually ski at 35.2 and would rate it as about 8.5. The wake also gets even better at 28off & 32 off.

My 16 year old rates his wake for wake-boarding as about a 7,but that is with just the ballast tanks filled, mom driving & me sitting in the very back. We have ridden as many as 4 people & he liked much more.

I am getting back to course skiing again pretty consistently and really need the wake at the 34.2mph forme to practice like I want.

The 216 is a very, very good all around boat for families and I have been pretty pleased with it. I really want to try the 200v & see if it is as good as billed. If not, I am going to buy an older closed bow & get a 210 as the family boat

Still looking for offers.. Great boat that is priced right.

Nice looking boat. I would purchase 2 boats for the family. Get him a WB boat and your a closed bow Ski. I've not skied behind a 200V yet, but the 211 was not a good cross over boat. I liked the 216 better as a crossover.

I have not decided yet what I will do. I have looked at the Sport Nautique 200 & really like it. I am going to ski behind it in the next couple of weeks. If I go with 2 boats, I can leave 1 at the private ski lake & the other at Lake Martin which is about 140 miles away and get both for nearly the same price as the 200v. I still can not believe the price of new boats now.

I may just keep the 216. It is a very, very good boat and when I look at dollars & cents (or should I say sense),that would be the smartest thing for me to do.

It is supposed to be in the 70's this weekend & I am ready to try out the water next week. My SKi Safe policy starts again March 1 & I am ready to go.

I will be honest with you. I have seen inverts and 360 spins behind my boat, a lot of times without ballast, or even a full load of passengers.
My boat is a 1997 Ski Nautique.

I have also have a friend that got good at wakeboarding behind a 16 foot mid 1970's Fiberform, with a 70 HP Johnson outboard.

My advise is to keep the 216. If your son cannot throw good stuff behind it, getting a dedicated wakeboard boat will not improve him that much.

Slalom skiing demands a good wake for that discipline. You might want to try a 200V, to see if is is an improvement over the 216. Take your son, and see how it wakeboards too.

But I think buying two boats is just a little over the top, but it really is your choice.

I disagree. The wake behind a boat, like a 210, that is made for wakeboarding is more consistent and better shaped that what you have. Also, the wake behind a boat like a 210 can get huge with enough weight and retain its shape. It is much much easier to learn behind a boat like a 210.

I am going to respectfully suggest that with a huge wake, you never really learn to pull a hard cut. And that limits your potential.
You learn to cut harder with a smaller wake, and when you get the large wake, you can go even bigger.

Well, I've found that you tend to get injured when you end up trying to use speed to learn tricks instead of using the right size and shape wake. Just my .02. I think sound fundamentals are actually learned quicker behind a boat with a better wake.
