Well, they just seem real hard to get w/ the Nautique Logo on it. If this site gets enough people, I think we would all get them a lot quicker than all trying to get them individually from the dealer. What do you think? The Nautique Logo and the PlanetNautique Logo are both great for me, don't really care which one, I just don't one that says Straightline or Overtons on it.

I was looking for one recently and ended up making my own. The dealer had trailer guides that had the dealers name on one side and Nautique on the the other. I took them to the canvas shop and had 1" nylon webbing sewn on to attach it to the pylon. I use the slalom switch so it is nice to have it a little shorter than a standard shock tube. It doesn't dip into the water when circling a dropped skier.

check out http://www.fundamentalwatersports.com/

he also has these available on ebay (i don't see any nautique right now)

here is a link to a MC one - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4503672114&category=26451

i have purchased from him and would recommend him to anyone - he was very good to deal with, check out his ebay feedback.

on another note - what are people using to minimize recoil with their rope selection (slalom specific)

i want to take every step possible to minimize the risks when i slalom - this season - we had two instances where the driver was hit with the handle (one with a shock tube - one without a shock tube)

the time with the shock tube was actually a worse situation - split the driver open and he was seeing stars for a couple of hours (and al little ringing in his ears) - so not good.

are there specific ropes anyone is using? again - i'm talking slalom specific (but any comments are good!)

They shouldn't be too hard to get. This is what you're looking for, right?

They're available from any dealer. I would recommend checking with Mid-Ohio Nautiques (http://www.midohionautiques.com/index2.htm), since they give PlanetNautique members a 15% discount on most purchases, and they also provide free shipping. MSRP on these shock tubes is $28. The part number is 282940001.

I believe that the price on this item makes a group buy cost-prohibitive. Finding vendors and making time-consuming deals for such a low-cost item probably isn't worth it at this time.

You can also get them directly from Correct Craft here (http://www.nautiquegear.com/acb2/showdetl.cfm?&DID=12&Product_ID=171&CATID=12).

Yeah Jeff, thats it. I didn't think it would be hard to get either, but the dealer said they have had them on order for a while and they would be able to make a bunch 'o happy customers if they had them in stock right now. I was suprised to hear this but when we went a whole season without one, I just figured they aren't getting any anytime soon.
