91excel,
Congrats on the boat. I hope you enjoy it. Just out of curiousity, what prompted the brand change? Anyways, hope you have many fun hours on it.

Hollywood???? Are YOU posting pictures of MALIBU boats on THIS SITE?? I never thought I'd see that.

See THIS THREAD (http://www.nautiqueplanet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=88).

BTW, that's a very nice looking boat!

Jeff, I only did it so we can all turn out backs on him in disgust.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I was acting like a fool in that other thread, just was a little jealous that some foreigner got all the attention. Sorry!

Abundiga,
I think that is a boatmate trailer. Hollywood has a late 80's nautique. You can get a boatmate trailer for a nautique too.

I actually think that Ram-lin makes the nicest trailers out there....i really like their style. also..they are one of the few trailer companies that still makes nice bads that cover the nose bumber of the boat..i think that keeps some of the calssiness of Nautiques...i just like Boatmates trailer's rims...i really like nice rims....if it wasn't too much money, i would get matching rims for the tow veachle,,,but thats just a little to much $$...

I hear ya Jeff - last thing in the WORLD I expected to see from H'Wood.

Yep, BoatMate makes will set you up with a very nice trailer for your CC. Owen at BoatMate is extremely customer focused.

BTW - that VLX is sweet boat, bet it's gonna be hot in the sun.

Actually...I just traded it in for 90 Sunsetter...NOT

If it's not a Correct Craft, it's the wrong craft.

its very funny you say that because one of my friends who has no idea what a nautique is said pretty much that exact last line word for word and i said to him as a joke you call the wrong crafts master crafts..its kinda ironic... it was a joke...i'm not that "prejudgeice"....but i would probably never own a MC....

Did anyone ever hear how they came up with the name "correct craft"? I can't remember it exactly but it was something to the effect that another industry said to get the correct shoe for yourself or something like that and meloon decided why not the "correct craft" for you. I will have to look it up to get the exact wording.

Taken from Correct Craft History at www.correctcraft.com

1936 - "WC renames company Correct Craft after hearing a radio advertisement explaining the "correct heel for your shoe". WC thought, why not "the correct craft for you?" Thus the name was changed to Correct Craft."

This was of course after "Florida Variety Boat Company" in 1925, to "Pine Castle Boat and Construction Company" in 1930.

Hey I'm Back

Yes I dont believe it but I did change brands & did eat my words saying I would never own anything but a CC. Hollywood must have picked up the pic off of wakeboarder.com, but yes that is our new BU. After 6mo. of searching for a new boat ( CC or Malibu) I could not see the extra $$$ for the SAN vs. the $$ for the VLX. I research both boat for mo's. & desided on Malibu. The other factor was that where we live we only had MC & I'm not a MC man, but starting in Jan. we will have a new Malibu dealer in our city. The closes CC dealer is 3 hrs. away. I know that is a small factor, but the summer is my busy season & I dont have time for a 6 hr trip if any major repairs would arise. I believe that the big 3 boat builders all make great boats, each have some things that are beter than the other, but for our family we desided the BU fit the bill in quality, price & proformance.
Dont get me wrong I WILL ALWAYS BE A BIG CORRECT CRAFT FAN!!!
There GREAT BOATS!!!
See Ya, 91excel

bu's are nice boats and I agree that you can't go wrong with the big 3 but I can't get over how far back the windshield and tower are, is it just me?
