Tower Padding?

The padding located beneath the legs of the tower, where it connects to the boat, is squeezing out all sides and is folding up around the base of the tower. It looks really tacky and I’m worried eventually it will all be out from under the tower and no longer serving its purpose.

Has anyone else had this problem? I think I may have to remove the tower and put new pads under it.

It is a problem on all of those towers but there is a fix for it. You do have to take the tower off though. CC now offers a plastic "disc" to go underneath it. I am not sure if you can get any of it covered under a warranty claim though. Otherwise, just trim off the excess with a razor blade. No one ever looks underneath them to see what it looks like. Also, I have never seen one completely disappear.
