You got northern IL right here. There is a course on the fox river that can be used for free, although it is in about 2-3 feet of muddy, crappy water. I'll give you more info if needed.

I've always heard there's a course somewhere on the fox river, but nobody ever could tell me where it was. I ski in straight up green water here at school, so brown isn't much different.

More information would be greatly appreciated. I wouldn't mind trying it as long as there is no threat of boat damage.

The course on the Fox is in what they call dutch creek. It is in the river right off of Pistakee lake by mchenry. To go there, you can put in anywhere in pistakee or at Watertower marina off of 120 in Mchenry.

Just wanted to let everyone know about "Freeze for Life" on the Rock River in Rockford, Illinois. It is a benefit for the American Cancer Society Saturday December 13th. It has a $25 min donation to ski. Last year everyone had a great time. It is hosted by Rockford Marina at their site in downtown Rockford. The marina owners are great people and they have a huge pro shop. If anyone has questions post them here or call Megan @ Rockford Marina. (815)965-2223 - Pat

If you want to ski the course on Dutch Creek you better havesomeone with you who has drived the course. I have skied it for years, if you do not know the pattern, when looping around for your second pass you can kiss your shaft and prop goodbye.

We already dropped the boat in the water 3 weeks ago. Skiied last weekend no wetsuit. Only 1 other boat's waves to contend with too! I was sore for the following 4 days too from failed front-to-back attempts.

Nice! I'm a whole lot better today - ready to hit it again. Put a post up when you guys go, love to hook up with you all sometime. Where on the chain do you ride? I'm usually in Pettite.

Seems like a good deal to me... I'm assuming the boat is a leftover from last yr like a promo and not a used boat... correct???

Ours finally droped this week to 1.77 at BP................filling up the gas caddy and all the extra tanks around at that price. Doesn't that suck that we think 1.77 is a great price.

1.77 is a steal right now.

One question, how did you end up with an 04 tower on an 03 boat? The Fox and chain are in bad shape, what a waste of a summer. Are you towing it anywhere?

FRG

The dealer I bought from, were the coolest people I've met. I told them that if I had to drive 5 1/2 hours to pick a boat up, it better be in mint condition, anyways, they called me a day B4 I was to pick it up and gave me an option to have the 04 tower or take a damaged (it was scuffed) 03 tower and they'll send me a new one........I took the 04. I'm actually trying to hook up with another buddy to get me into Diamond lake in Mundelein. It's a ski lake.

I was on diamond last year, not a bad lake but a little on the small side. Hope you get to really use your boat soon.
