I'd be interested if you were a little closer to San Jose. I think your pricing is good.

Here are a couple more pictures one of the pictures was before I had the wetsounds put on. Also notice to the left of the right speaker theirs a dent in the tower, it was like that when I got it but has never affected anything. The interior speakers have also been changed out since the picture I now have infinitiys.

bump. nice boat - wish I wasnt currently unemployed!
just curious, how much would it cost to have this thing re-upholstered in black & white? do they make skins or would it be custom?
also just curious, can you change the decals on these? I really like the yellow, but would love a 2000 black & white san.

If you want Christine's / Nautiqueskins vinyl, figure a hair over $3k for the skins. Installation prices vary considerably, which Christine's in Orlando being probably the best on labor costs. They do so many of these, they can do them quicker than most other installers.

How easy or hard is it to change the decals to a different color on these? Are the decals cleared over?

Are you talking about the N graphic? If so, that's gelcoat, not a decal.
The Air decal is fairly easy to change.

Bryand; a couple questions: Do the gauges work properly? Mainly the tach and speedo? Have they ever been replaced? Where on the boat are the cracks shown in the second pic of the 4th set posted on 10/12? Lastly, do all the ballast pumps work properly and have they ever been replaced? Thanks...Good looking boat.
Bryand82487
02-24-2010, 08:22 PM
The tach and speedo both work and are the original gauges. The speedo and PP are a couple MPH off but I go by my PP gauge. The ballast pump hoses were replaced about a year ago but the pumps have not been replaced. The ballast gauges however work most of the time but sometimes do not. I've never been to good with working the vent knobs behind the seat for the ballast so I normally just throw bags in there since the stock 400 lbs isn't enough anyways. The cracks in the picture are at the top of the back seat. If you look on down at the back seat in another group of pictures on 10/12 you can see them again.

Thanks for the info. Also, what happened to the tower?
Bryand82487

I believe the guy that I bought it from tried to back it under something that didn't quite clear the tower but I'm not positive.

Will you guys give me an honest opinion on what you think the boat is worth? I had the trailer guide welded back on and got new nautique pads since those pictures. Thanks

Funny...
To be honest, I'm surprised it didn't sell for 20k. That's probably the lowest I have seen a Super air. Most super sports with towers go for that much. In my eyes, 20k shouldn't be hard to get. Maybe try some other sites like onlyinboards or craigslist.

Dude that thing is worked, no way would I pay 20k for it.

yeah the boat def. looks like it has been abused. I've seen an 02 SANTE sell for 20k, values are slowly but surely dropping.

Please show me an 02 Sante that sold for 20k. I have been going through the market for the last two years, and I have yet to see anything close to that. An 03 in decent shape was sold in the middle of summer for 28k, and the owner received over 30 calls in the 4 hours it was on craigslist. In other words, anything under 30k for a SANTE is not the norm. Yes this boat is older and rough, but 15k? That is a joke...

Do you not see the spiderwebs all over the thing, full interior rebuild, hole in the nose, the list goes on. To make this thing look half as good as our original '90 it'd take some TLC. Not to mention, buying a boat that new that looks like that...you have to know other things weren't taken care of either.
Just saying what I'd pay for it. It's only worth what someone would pay :)

After looking at boats all around the midwest, I have learned that many boaters are not overly concerned with the condition of their toys. They want to go out, entertain the kids, and put the thing away. Are you or I, as Nautique enthusiasts, going to buy this thing? I wouldnt for any price, but in my opinion there are people out there that would. If he took a day to clean that thing up, posted it on Wakeworld, OnlyInboards, and Craigslist, I bet he gets that 20k for it. I have seen boats almost as bad sell for much more, but prices tend to be higher in the midwest.

18.9 huh? I never actually saw the final price on that thing. It was on boat trader for a LONG time.
I actually have detailed photos from the owner, and that thing was extremely rough. The color certainly didnt help anything. I still stand by my original statement, especially considering 05s & 06s are still getting over 35k; with 03s & 04s in the low to mid 30s. To be honest, not having the money probably helped you in the long run.

yeah, i had some detailed pics too, but i am not looking to find a mint boat. Wouldnt mind spending some nights setting up things how i would want. I actually like the color alot, its different compared to the usual color combos.

yea, so that 2000 san was actually a buddy of mine and i took off his hands for 17k.. well worth it. i am a super air guy and i have looked every where, finding any nautique in the 2000 and up for less than 20k is rather hard. this boat has some minor blemishes but at 340 hours she hasn't even been broke in. all the ballast work properly, all the gauges work properly..... so there are a few tears but its 11 years old.
