I've been kicking around the option of buying a 206. One thing I've read is that the trunk will not hold a 68" slalom ski. Anyone here try it and find that it can be squeezed in there? I really like the convenience of keeping all the skis in trunk of my current boat.

Thanks in advance...site looks great.

Unfortunately it won't fit. The 216 will fit it though. There is alot more room for it. Good Luck!

Ughhh...not the answer I was looking to hear. I'll have to make a road trip to the dealer and compare them side by side. Thanks for the response.

I can take the digital camera...would also help me in comparing the 206 vs 216 vs my current boat. The dealer is 75 miles away so it might be a week or so until I can get there.

There will be an extension to that dealer shortly in O'Fallon, MO. I am going to the one in Greenville today to pick up my boat. What exactly are you wanting pictures of and I can get them for you.

Jefe - what are you picking up? The guys at Extreme are great. I have a permit to use my existing boat on Governor Bond in Greenville, see them on the lake all the time. I worked with Dan Jackson quite a bit this past winter to put together a deal on a 206 / 216, had to wait for the water to thaw for a test drive. Before you know it, it's already mid July.

I needed some warranty work done on my boat. It should be done today, so I am going to go after work. If you want to see some pictures of the boat, it is in my personal gallery. I agree, Extreme has helped me immensly from helping me pick it out, to just little stuff they do for me after the sale. I just wish they were closer.
If you need any pictures, just let me know before 4 today, and I will post them for you.

THE 206 IS THE SAME AS THE 196. TRUNKS ARE FOR JUNK NOT SKIS.
IF YOU PUT YOUR SKI IN THE TRUNK, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FIN GUARD OR RACKS IN THERE. WHEN YOU HIT WAVES OR SHARPE CORNERS, THERE IS A LOT OF CARGO SHIFTING GOING ON. iTS A GREAT WAY TO DENT CARBON OR BEND FINS/WINGS.
INSTALL A RACK IN GUNWALES OR PUT SKI IN CASE AND LAY ON SIDE
AWAY FROM ANY THING THAT CAN SHIFT AND DAMAGE.
I WISH CC WOULD DISH OUT THE TRUNK DESIGN AND GET BACK TO THE 96-00 BACKEND.
I HAD A 2001 WITH A 96 GAS TANK, CC WAS ABLE TO BUILD IT FOR ME, AS THEY STILL HAD SOME 96-00 GAS TANKS LEFT. iT WAS THE LAST SKIIER FREINDLY CC I OWNED. TRUNKS SUCK.

Thanks Mark, appreciate the input. Since a 68" ski won't fit back there it is obvious that the trunk is not made to hold a ski. The shape of the opening also tells me that it's better suited for life jackets, ropes, etc.

I asked the question becasue the trunk on my Malibu IS built to handle skis AND junk. My trunk is over 86" wide, easily handling a couple 68" skis (laying on their side in a case), a wakeboard, lifejackets, ropes, etc.

MARK-
Could you please hit the caps lock key when typing messages. When people type all CAPS, it makes it look LIKE THEY ARE SHOUTING, and is quite annoying.
Thanks
