View Full Version : 1997 Super Sport
I've been lurking for years and finally signed up for an accout recently. Thought I would show y'all my pride and joy. I think I've seen a similar year and color combo from another member somewhere along the way. Hopefully the pictures will post! :???:
The knowledge base here is amazing! Thanks everyone for making this such a great site.

Looks like me! Great style my friend!!!
All that's left to do is to just take out that ski pole.
Ahah, boat is slammed in the second pic; do you have two 750lb sacs in the rear locker for your ballast setup?

Yep, I too share the same color combo. You definately have it slammed if the platform is under. Nice and clean. I personally think the lines on the 97-99SS are the most classy looking.

Man I was hoping that was going to be for sale. Great looking Whip
Thanks for the complements guys!
I go back and forth about taking out the ski pole. My wife likes to put her feet there, so it will probably stay. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:
As for the ballast, I run 600 (port), 550 (starboard), 800 (ski locker), 250 (under bow cushions), and sometimes 250 under the clam shell depending on who's with me. Never been real sure about how accurate the # ratings are for the sacks, I just get em' as full as I can. With about 3-4 people on the boat, the wake is really nice. Add a couple of more folks and the wake gets HUGE!
Hey Kevin B. It may go up for sale this winter if I can find a deal on a 230 I can live with.

SWEET looking ride!! I have to agree with bchesley on the looks of the 97-99 boats being timeless.

I am buying a 1998 Super Sport Masters Edition (Same colors as the pics above). It will be my first boat. I am so excited. It is in great condition with a little over 200 hours. I will add a new dimensions tower unless there are any other towers that look the same as the fct2. And then add some ballast. Thanks Planet Nautique for the wealth of info that helped me make an informed purchase!

Great looking boat, what lake do you ride on?
Wow! This post is a blast from the past. I still have that boat. Had 210 hrs when purchased and has somewhere around 950 hrs now. It has performed like a dream! Still looks brand new inside and out. May be looking to sell over the winter if I can find a deal on a 230.
BWB-745 I don't know if that question is for me or tandnommah, but I'm on Lake Martin. I see you are in Huntsville. Do you ride on Smith Lake?

Ha, yeah I didn't realize this was an older post someone had dug up. But yes Smith is where I ride, Smith and Martin are two of the better lakes in the state IMO.
