So Im looking for some input from you guys. Im looking a getting a '96 Ski 176, any thoughts or opinons. How is the ride on these? I currently have a 1994 Malibu Skier with the concave bottom that is super flat, and the ride seems unusually rough, Im trying to find something better. What do you think?

I think you're gonna trade ride for wake, but I'm not familiar with either boat.

If your wanting a smoother ride, then the SN176 is not your best choice. Its a flat bottom ski boat that takes a beating going up and down the lake. On flat water, its great for both skiing and boarding. But if you're interested mostly in ride comfort, you're better off in a stern drive boat.

You need to test drive it yourself, and form your own opinion. I have been in a 176 once, and I did not notice the ride being all that rough. I have spent a lot of time with an early 1990's Malibu skier, and it was a rough riding boat. It made me appreciate my 1997 Ski Nautique.

If it's that black & red SN176 from SC that you are looking at, I think that is a sweet boat and appears well cared for. I have a 99SN176, but not with the GT-40. What can I say? I feel the ride is great for this type of boat, and the little 176 provides a great wake for everyone. Definitely test it in conditions you will be using it.
