question about is it worth putting in a 2nd battery

I have a 85 ski nautique. I am getting ready to put a system in it. 2 tower speakers, 4 internal speakers, a bass tube, a head unit and a amp. I was wondering if it is even worth putting in another battery for all this equipment. Thanks

Don't get a second battery unless you plan to listen to it when the boat is stopped. It also depends on the size of the amp. My system is pretty strong and it runs on the stock electrical just fine, check it out: http://bierbower.net/diytower/Boat%20stereo%20system.doc

thanks alot mikeski. I like your system. I did not put in a second battery i went with just getting a new one and new cables. I am putting the system in on sun i think.
