i just bought a pyle marine 1000 watt amp two 10in boss subs and 4 6x9 boss marine speakers has anyone used these and how do they sound

don't know about the speakers, but I'm wondering where you're planning to mount your amp and the subs. I've got an 82 2001 also and am trying to decide where to put amp/subs too.

got everything installed and it rocks the river had 4 boats stop me and ask what i have in it.. it took me and 2 friends 13hours to install it all we had to build a box cut speaker holes cd player cut out run wire everythingfrom nothing to thump it pounds..

HI That system sounds wicked I have a 94 SN and have put 4x 200 watt 61/2 inch Fusion speakers in but they just don`t cut it .Is there a web site to go to for boss marine gear.They just don`t get any of the really decent marine stereo gear hear in Australia.My current head unit is a sony 4 x45 watt output would I be better running them through an amp to get better sound Quality?If so what sought of amp would I need? :?

i got all my stuff on ebay.. and yes it would be better to get an amp it will push the speakers more clear and harder.. you've got to figure those speakers can handle 155 more watts.. on ebay there is the same amp that i have but 600 watts for like $70 thats not bad at all...
