Does anybody know whether it will be possible to retrofit the 2004 observers seat into a 2003 sn206? I see that the web site shows that the 2004s have a full width seat (good idea). Does anybody know who I could ask?

Your dealer would be the best person to ask. I do believe that the seat will fit. FYI, that seat is an option on the 206 and not standard

I personally don't like the fit of the extended 206 observers seat. The seat base rest right on top of the ice cooler and it looks like over time it's gong to destroy it. It leaves a big indentation on the cooler cover and really pushes it down on one side.

I got an e-mail on this subject from Correct Craft. They say that I can do this and that Correct Craft will be selling the hardware sometime soon. Thanks for the input.
I haven't seen the bench seat in real life yet, but I used to own a MC X-7. This has their prostar 197 hull with an open bow and a bench seat.
The back rest is hinged and swings to the side. I imagine the 206 is similar. I really liked the set up especially for towing skiers. Plenty of room for 2 adults and no extra seat to move around. If I was in the market for a DD boat this would be a must.

Here's the new 206 seat. This is a scan from the 2004 Nautique brochure.
