If you could be the disigner\engineer what would you change on your Nautique.

1. I hate that it backs to the left. I still have not overcome that when picking up a skier.

2. The small swim platform needs some more room on my 99'.

That is all that I can find wrong with mine! My gas guage even works!

I wish they would bring back or add an option for wrap around seating.

Wrap around seating is nice on the SAN, I built a sub box for the area between the driver's seat and the back seat and it now is like the older SAN with the wrap around. Now you can lounge in almost an seat in the boat.

Things I'd change:
1.) No embrodiery on the seats....first thing to go when the upolstery gets old.

2.) Better shaped tower. They are a pain to design and make tower biminis.

3.) Retractable/removeable ski pylon on SANs.

4.) Get rid of tanks and add fat sacs. Then you can use the space when needed and still have weight when needed.

5.) A bunch of little detail stuff.

I hate that if the ignition is left on, the hours keep running up on the boat

That's not specific to Nautiques. One thing about it, though, is that it just runs up the hour meter - the computer controlling the engine keeps a log of the true hours on the engine & can be accessed by any dealer. They can then reset the hour meter according to what the computer tells them.

Thank you, that's good to know. From what my dealership told me, they don't sound like they're aware of that option. I'll have to let them know when I bring the boat back next week for the new meter.

I didn't think a GT-40 could have the hours read from the engine???

No ford engine can have its hours read from the engine itself. That only applies to the chevy motors

So who knows the truth about this? I do have the GT-40 :?:

My bad, sorry everyone. Didn't know that about the Ford engine (never personally had it happen). I was talking with a fellow boater that had that happen & the dealer was able to reset it like I said, but alas, it was a Malibu owner that told me that .... of course I assumed that most of the newer, electronically controlled engines would allow for that. My mistake.

No problem. I'd like to think the hours are merely dealer negligence and not someone taking my boat, but I guess there's no way of knowing for sure now.

*shiver* That's why I don't like to take my boat in.

1 Wrap around seating like in the malibu's (i think this was mentioned befrore...)

2. sub floor balast, not shure how nautique could do this.... but im shure they could figure something out...

3. I would like to see nautique do something like the wedge.... but Bu' has the patent so i guess thats not gonna happen any time soon...

Keyless ignition is awesome. I am still unsure if hours are adding in the accessory mode. My particular problem with this is when I am adjusting the Perfect Pass, I have to go to run mode to get the Perfect Pass up. Am I putting hours on the boat while adjusting the PP options. I think I am. Need a all on level without running tach. However this electronic tact may not work that way. Anybody know if it does. 2002 Nautique

Mute the colors, delete the cheap decals Is it really necessary for CC to beat the competion in every category. The M.B. B-52 takes the honors in the gaudiest boat produced followed by that Mastercraft picklefort thing that I have to look at every day from my deck.

The Lime Green Team Machine is getting close. I thought the last time I would see colors like this was three years ago at Whistler with the Asian Invasion.

I think the black windshield frame looks much better. Unless you can have a silvery looking rub rail, stick to the same color for rub rail and windshield frame. Call me old school, but I'd really like to see dual exhaust come back for the small blocks.
