I live down in Lynchburg and am dying to get out on the lake! Am originally from MN (graduated from Liberty 2 years ago) where my family has an 01 air nautique that I used to go out on everyday. Now I haven't been out since last year! I mainly wakeboard (probably average skill level), but I would love to get better at slaloming. All I have is a wakeboard. I would bring gas! Does anyone have a spare seat?

I'm coming up there for the Planet Nautique get together Aug 1-3, and I may be by myself (wife has to work and son is a maybe). PM me if you are interested that weekend.

Thanks for the invite, that would be cool. Are there many here on PL that are going to it? I'll have to wait until it's get closer.
Is there anyone that lives on the lake?
I'm also thinking about just getting a jet ski to board behind - that's how bad I need to get on the water! I don't have money to buy a boat and tow vehicle, but I do have money to buy an older ski and tow with my car :) Is this a stupid idea?

Don't think this is the right forum for this question since CC doesn't make JetSki's and the members here find them to be an annoyance.
Finding a good buddy with a boat would be a better idea and this is the best place to find that buddy. I've heard of it done, but I just can't imagine boarding behind a jet ski and the fun lasting any length of time. My first 'boat' was a jet ski and it was boring unless you had others with jet ski's to ride with.
just my 2 cents worth

Yeah, that's exactly what I have always thought- that a jet ski would get boring after a little bit. I skiied behind one a few years ago, and it wasn't all that fun without perfectpass ;)
And yes, the perfect situation would be to buddy up with someone on here. At least it sounds like I can get out in the beginning of Aug!
