Hi Guys,

Great site. I also checked out 2001.com. Can't seem to register for some reason. the site keeps giving me errors when I try. any ideas?

I have a 1987 2001 with a 454. I'm thinking of doing an Electronic Ing conversion. thoughts?

I love the boat. need new decals, what's the best approach to replace?

Aside from your username being already taken I can't see why you can't get there. It's a good site with some real helpful people on it. Try to search electronic ignition as a guest and maybe you'll get your answer that way. If you still can't join pm me and I'll get you the email of the person running the forum and I'm sure he'll get you on. As for electric ignition, mine has it but I didn't do the install. It was a kit and mines a 351PCM

Well - 2 things here. 1 - I've been working to resolve this security issue - and there are some pretty specific technical reasons why new user registration is locked down. I am working to re-enable that while not opening it to any sort of security breach or hack again.

2 - baumanmt I run the site for free. No ads, nothing - no real benefit to my pocket. The benefit goes to the users of the site and owners of 2001's and I love running the site for that reason. If you "feel like you may not even want to join", well by all means - don't! Simple as that. Baumanmt also there is a great writeup about what web site 'cookies' do on wikipedia - there is also Google at your disposal.

For everyone else who has been patient, I appreciate it. I am working on this, as the issue is a distant relative of the one that allowed the hacker to enter the site a few months ago.

We did an electronic ignition conversion on our 454 '88 and it worked out perfect. Ordered one from Skidim 5 years back and didn't looked at the iginition once from then.

I am working to fix this, this week. I did shut registration down due to hacking and blue streak of hack attempts that followed. But that has slowed and I am opening it up again.

i tryed and could not register. it got to where it would send you the conf email, and then errored out. but it took my sn and email cause now i cant register cause it says the email is already used :(
